What we collect

When you complete a form on our website, or a lead form on Facebook, Instagram or TikTok, we collect:

  • Your name
  • Your email address
  • Your phone or WhatsApp number
  • Your business name
  • The size of your business

When you browse our website we collect:

  • Pages you visit, how long you stay and how you arrived
  • Your approximate location, from your IP address
  • Your device and browser type

We do not collect identity numbers, banking details or payment card information through this website.

03

Why we collect it

  • To contact you about the enquiry you submitted
  • To prepare for and run a meeting you have asked for
  • To send you a quote or proposal you have requested
  • To improve how our website and our advertising work

We will not add you to a marketing list you did not ask to join, and we will not contact you about something unrelated to your enquiry without asking you first.

05

Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal information. We never have.

We share it only with:

  • Our own staff, so they can respond to you
  • Service providers who run our systems on our behalf, under contract, and only to the extent they need it. These currently include our website host, our email provider, and Meta Platforms Ireland Limited and TikTok Information Technologies UK Limited where you submitted a lead form on their platforms
  • Anyone we are legally required to share it with

Some of these providers store data outside South Africa. Where that happens, they are bound by laws or contractual terms that give your information a comparable level of protection, as POPIA requires.

06

Cookies and tracking

Our website uses:

  • Meta Pixel, which tells us whether an advert led to a visit, and lets us show adverts to people who have visited before
  • Hotjar, which records anonymised information about how visitors move around the site so we can improve it
  • A chat widget, which stores a small file so your conversation is not lost if you refresh the page

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Parts of the site may not work properly if you do.

07

How long we keep it

  • Enquiries that do not become clients: 24 months, then deleted
  • Client records: 5 years after the end of the engagement, as required by tax and company law
  • Website analytics: 26 months
08

Your rights under POPIA

You have the right to:

  • Ask what personal information we hold about you
  • Ask us to correct anything that is wrong
  • Ask us to delete it
  • Withdraw your consent to being contacted
  • Object to us using your information for direct marketing
  • Complain to the Information Regulator

To do any of these, email info@iheartmedia.co.za. We will respond within 30 days and we will not charge you for it.
